  • Description:

Together we will go on a journey where we will explore all of the moving parts which make a theatrical production come alive. In order to be successful on stage, one should strive to become a triple threat: a person who can sing, dance, and act with confidence. In order to be find a successful path, be it: stage, film or television, one first needs a strong foundation in acting. Our promise is that each camper will leave with a new set of skills which will be with them as they pursue future endeavors. In order for this same young actor to reach their potential, they must first have an appreciation and respect for the behind the scenes workings of a production. Each person has their own special gifts that they have been blessed with - one child might be destined for film while another may have aspirations to become a production manger who is responsible for all aspects of support for the actor including set design, lighting and sound. In addition to working on individual musical numbers, we will have workshops which will allow us the opportunity to identify and guide the appropriate direction for each child. The caring and support for the campers begins at check in yet continues long after their pick up as we will take an interest in supporting each family member as they pursue their dreams in the arts. Having a staff who has ” been there, are on their way there, or helped take others there” helps the camper see the steps they will need to take to reach their own personal goals. Our home is a place where each member will feel safe and loved as they take chances they never dreamed they could, and reach a comfort with themselves which they can carry with them for the rest of their lives. Don’t be surprised if you hear your child saying, “ there is no place like home” their new Brave Arts home.

To celebrate our inaugural season, our artistic team will be taking a walk with the children of our BraveArts community down memory lane – Musicals Are Magic.  Over a two-week period, your children will join us on a magic journey as they explore many important musicals and the songs that made them famous.  At BraveArts, the lessons learned off the stage will be more powerful and impactful than the great strides they are sure to take on stage.

A successful theatrical journey requires a functional community that embraces all of its members with an open mind and an open heart.  In addition to building towards a performance they will never forget, we are confident they will develop friendships that will last a lifetime.  The BraveArts community will welcome children of all levels of talent and experience with the promise that we will bring them along at their appropriate pace while assuring them a safe environment to bravely take risks as they aspire to new heights.

Confidence in each of us is developed over time as a result of positive experience and encouragement.  Our mission is to have each camper leave with a bit more self-assurance while developing a clear appreciation for being part of a team.  Seasoned leaders in the arts, our founders Keith and Tina Greenfield are joined by Jeff and Christine Serowik, who have over fifteen years of experience in building one of the most successful overnight athletic camps in the world.  The Serowiks have expertise in creating a structured balance of activities for daily camp life.   We are comfortable knowing that the skill and sensitivity that is being brought together on this project is a perfect marriage, assuring our children the experience of a lifetime.
